A sad but happy update

Hey BCH family!

It's been a while since we have made any public posts or provided any updates overall. We've been trying to work on some things behind the scenes and not introduce major changes around the holidays. We do have some things we're working on, but it is still going to be a bit before we can push them out.

Today's update is a mix of happy and sad/frustrating. The three of us, Hannah, Walsh, and I are all relatively OK but were involved in a head-on collision late Sunday night coming home. Walsh got out scot-free, I'm a little banged up, Hannah got a laceration on her shin and has an injured shoulder and the car, well, it's totaled. I can't tell you how happy I was to hear my son at least crying once we stopped spinning. We're all in relatively good spirits, considering what happened.

They're placing the blame of the accident on the other driver, due to a combination of witness statements in my favor and how the guy was acting (likely drunk according to the officer, but blood tests were needed to confirm). And I learned yesterday that the other driver's car insurance policy was canceled in August 2018. Now, we're trying to get everything sorted out: car insurance, new car, doctor appointments, time off or working from home for my job. It's a mess. And this all happened the day before our 2 year wedding anniversary (1/7/2019). Heck of an anniversary, eh? At least we're all here to celebrate though, that's what I'm thankful for.

We wanted to let you all know what's going on as there will likely be delays to ticket responses, especially if we're out of the house dealing with this stuff. We are on the lookout for emergency type tickets and will make sure those are addressed ASAP either by us or someone else of BCH.

If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. A support ticket would be best either through your BCH customer account or direct email support@blackchickenhost.com.

Have a great rest of your week folks!!
